Anyone have any experience keeping a banana eel in a reef tank if so how did it go? I was informed they were the more docile of the moray would that be right

Eels. Anything with two sets of jaws creeps me out.

Yea thats kind of creepy looking at it but they are some pretty unique creatures

I would post it for sale in the marketplace just don't have enough messages yet. I've had it a little more than a week and my livestocks been cut in half. Anyone interested definitely cool and unique just not good with smaller fish.

Eels are a tough sell. They aren't exactly salad eaters. i hope you find a home for it.

Are you still trying to get rid of the banana eel? If so let me know, pictures and size currently.

we already have a banana eel currently and he is getting a new massive home at our house and I would be ok getting a second one

How has that dragon eel been doing in your reef tank?
We are setting up a 900 gallon tank in our house currently and our eels will all be moved there

Hes been doing great, I've had him for a year now. He's grown about 6in tipping the tape measure around 28-30in so hes almost fully grown now. Hasnt eaten any fish either, the only problem has been keeping nutrients down to a point the corals are happy. I had to add a pretty big refugium and gfo ontop of water changes.
