Banjo Bulkhead Fittings - Reef Safe?

Hi There,

I've been looking for better bulkheads than the standard ABS schedule 40 fittings. I just have bad luck with them leaking on my returns so I switched to Dr. Foster and Smith Schedule 80s with great success - but Dr. Foster's and Smith is being shut down :(.

I found these gems recently on Grainger. Waaaaaaay cheaper than BRS. Amazon sells them as well, but they are cheaper for me to pick up locally. They are made of Polypropylene. I wasn't sure if this was reef safe or if the fittings would be different as I would be hooking 3/4" loc-line to this for my return.

Well, looks like the first review is someone recommending them for aquariums... :p Polypropylene is generally aquarium safe...

Ya Petco shut down the site and laid off ppl.

So from what I'm reading Polypropylene is safe, but the gasket is the questionable part. It is a EPDM gasket, but I have heard that is not always safe to use. Just wanted to confirm that this is safe.
