The title of the petition is ban the import of blue tangs into Canada. This is only a temp. ban however, and actually seems like a good idea. As we saw in the hobby when finding nemo came out clownfish were imported at an all time high. This lead to a very bad reputation for the hobby. The petition would keep this from reoccurring and would keep the hobby from gaining an even worse reputation among environmentalists. However, what concerns me is a lot of the signatures are saying things like keep them in the ocean where they belong! I didn't sign this mainly because what scares me is this is meant to be temporary but what if they never get rid of the ban once it's in place.
This is just a ********** petition but it really does concern me.
