I cancelled mine I did not want to wait weeks on end and My tank is setup for Many years with great results and I have 30 years experience with reefs and marine tanks so at least in my experience It would not really be needed. I hope you get yours soon!

Makes sense. My situation is a bit different. My tank has live rock that is aging and needs to be replaced mainly due to an infestation of vermetid snails. My plan is to set up 2 of the 8-3 reactors and re-aquascape over time with a lot less rock.

My situation is that I wanted some new livestock (fish) and felt I could certainly use the extra bio filtration with a potential “overstock” of fish for a 300 gallon system.

I bought the few extra fish thinking I’d have received the reactors within a week or two as Salt water Aquariums had said, my bad…

I have been doing extra, more frequent water changes to mitigate the extra increased bioload!

This is all until I build our larger aquarium coming soon

The concept of an anoxic bacteria reactor to break down NO3 and PO4 was interesting on a video. Could not find literature on the website and the comments on this thread are a bummer.

Ordered my from salt water aquarium.com im in Canada it was dropped shipped from Detroit I received my unit after 4 days im on the west coast very pleased with the time. Overall impressions working its been a few weeks now tank is 2 years old almost now and after installing the reactor my coraline algae is encrusting and my nutrients are slowly going down. Seeded with microblif special blend whole bottle. I removed the black K1 media and used the white I had on hand for a cleaner look. I purchased the hard plumed unit due to the concerns from others with the barbed fittings being silicone as a sealant between the threads I went to Home Depot and purchased the three-quarter unions and was able to add my own bars that are secure and able to pivot in any direction I need. I was disappointed on the cleanliness of the unit. There is lots of debris and oils and films. I proceeded to rinse out the units and wipe down with RODI water. The unit is noisy. But has quite down as the media has began to build up biofilm I’m assuming if a slower pump was added, the unit would be quieter, but I have it hard plumbed off of my chillers return to provide a cooled temperature for the bacteria to thrive in as I am concerned of vibrio in the tank. All in all great unit, I would recommend it for sure, especially with all these man-made rocks being so dense even bio bricks, eventually clog up, which creates different environments overtime for the bacteria. Where is this unit provides a consistent habitat as old bacteria and sludge are constantly being knocked off and entering the water column I have my return of the banshee by a reactor positioned next to my skimmer, so my skimmer is pulling out the excess bacteria lodge, while leftovers are being consumed by corals in the event. My nitrates dropped too low. I will reroute the output to reduce the export of nutrients in the tank.

Are you referring to the Bashsea biospace reactor in this thread?

If so, I believe It’s mainly meant to reduce Ammonia and Nitrite,
not NO3 and PO4
