I know normally the bigger the better. I will have plenty of rock and biomedia in my tank. im setting up a marineland 125 gallon corner dual overflow. i'm looking at the bashsea SMS-3015 smart series sump. will this work for my new DT or should I go the next size up? I have a lead on a used Bashsea sms-3015 smart series sump.. but if I should go bigger then I will look at other sumps also. but the Bashsea looks dang beautiful.

That size should be enough for your tank. The smart series allows you to run either a traditional style sump, or a Triton style sump. The difference between the 2 is where you place your cheato in the 1 or 2nd chamber.

I'm of the mindset get the biggest sump you can fit. I'm kicking myself for not going larger than I did and I even got a custom Bashsea (based on the SS-60). Allows you to be as flexible as you can be as you grow your reef and your reefing strategies.

I just contacted the person I was going to get the bashse scs 3015. He was going to sell it for 300 and I can get the same sump brand new for 349. Another 50 the next size up. So I'm going with the SMS-3615. I'm just putting in my lifereef skimmer and utilizing my 12 gallon refugium on my current tank as the refugium. The heater and media reactors will go in the first chamber.

I also got the jabeo dcq-10000 return pipe. I'm going with almost the same setup but modified for the return line. Here is what I have now. There at the very top I'm not sure yet since the tank is a dual corner overflow. Putting on a y connector the some pvc then a ball valve for each return line. Thoughts on that.

I have 3 SS-60s all outfitted with Bashsea components - 1 skimmer, 6 media reactors, 1 waste collector, and 4 bio reactors. Loving Bashsea. Let me know if you have any questions.
