I get that on occasion and have since I added mine. I'm home and I can see the orca is running so I ignore it and eventually it reconnects. I don't know if it's an app, orca, server issue or what. It's not a big deal for me but its impossible to make changes while it's off line. There's definitely some issues that need figured out.
So both of my Orcas have been offline for about 12 hrs. They're running, but one of them is running in one place. The other one seems to be at least following the rotation it's programmed to do. But it's just weird that they go off-line like this. The internet connection has not changed, nothing changed. It's just offline and not sure how to get it back on again!

Maybe try a power cycle? Are you receiving notifications they are offline? Im wondering if mine go off and i don't know it because I don't allow notifications. I do see a pulsing red light sometimes instead of the green that it's supposed to be but the pumps appear to be working normally. I do have some intermittent Wi-Fi issues related to my router and assumed that was the cause.
@rvitko Sorry to pester you Roger but you are the Man! I know you don't have a lot of support people working this month but do you have any suggestions for DmitryB ?

If you look at the top of your ORCA is there a light on? What color is it.

Are you using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network? That is pretty much all it supports or that they recommend if I remember correctly.

If you open the Tunze app there is an alarm/bell icon to the left of the your profile, settings, icon in the upper right area. Click on that and you will see the notifications.

You may already know, apologies if so.

I do get notifications about it going offline and then going back online when it does. And I have a dual band WiFi that includes 2.4. I guess it's just one of those things.

On the App, it gets confusing because there are multiple places you can set the flow speed and some take precedence over the others - the one on the main screen that you can set is NOT the main setting, it gets overwritten. So you have on the main screen you have it set at, let's say, 25% but the flow goes up to 50% because you have 50% set somewhere else. Creates confusion!

And I wish the App showed me GPH not % for flow speed. I don't want to do math!!!

Thanks. I should have said I choose not to get them. I get inkbird notifications but those are the only ones i feel are useful to me. I hate notifications and opt out anytime I have a choice. It's an old retired guy who never leaves home so I don't need them mentality I suppose lol

That would probably be very hard to report accurately since it will gradually lessen as the units gets build up of algae etc on them.
I've never used GPH to calculate flow tho and don't know that I've seen an app that reports gph. All of mine are set by % the same as lights.

In Mobius my MP10 and Nero 3 show GPH in the current flow display and it changes as the Random flow changes. I hate math! I can't even remember how much water Orca pushes, so that's more numbers I have to remember. Did I mention I hate numbers and math?

Dude I have an 8th grade education and I was weak at math lol.
In Mobius I only see % for my MPs If yours is showing GPH I would think its a guestimate at best based on brand new clean pump specs.

EDIT: i see it now on the first page. In addition to being poor at math I'm also not very observant 🤣

Is this solved? Usually in these cases the problem is the ORCA came back online before the WIFI, a power cycle and closing and reopening the app usually fixes it.

I'm not seeing it so the answer is probably no but I'll ask anyway. Is there a way to have different tanks in the app? I'm running two 6075s and am getting ready to add two 6105s to a different tank. I can name them accordingly but think it would be nice to be able to assign equipment to individual tanks. @rvitko ? I'm also curious if there is the possibility of running a parent child using two or more in the future or is it something not possible?

It did come back online after disconnecting it. Now it won't recognize programmed rotation angles on Chaos mode. 🤷

I believe chaos mode ignores the angles, this is similar to how on HUB pumps and our older analog controllers, random ignored speed settings, it is truly random, or chaos, random mode used to take the two speeds you set and add "random" off and full power. I believe chaos it chaos adds random angles to this, I would need to check. There is a lot of development for pairing new products and adding older HUB products to the app, so some stability issues are due to updates and testing.

Yes, you can make a second aquarium under aquariums and if you do the set up with that aquarium open you can set it up in a second aquarium. I am rusty on this process, I just got back from RAP and I am buried at the moment but I can try it out and try to get a walk through.

Ok I found tanks but this app is really wonky or I'm just totally ignorant and am missing everything. I see no way to asign devices to a tank.

The only option behind the three dots is to delete the tank..

All my orcas are together in a list and i have to give them tank names so I know where they're at. Myself and another member also can only get a single schedule and the rest of the time it's stuck in oscilation and we can't add a second schedule. I'm not much of a YouTube guy but some detailed instructional videos would be great. I've seen the one on initial set up.
At the risk of beating a dead horse an option to asign Master/ slave relationships should be an option. Even jebao has that IIRC

This is my list but i can't even use the feed mode because it puts both tanks into feed mode.

Unfortunately, I have never done this, I know it can be done. I know that if you contact support in Germany and use Team, they can log in remotely and fix these things. If you give me a few days to catch my breath, I am happy to try to figure it out. I am absolutely buried, I have been in California since Thursday and I just got back and 5 pallets just arrived and we are buried in backorders and need to get these unpacked and orders fulfilled.

I am pretty sure master and slave will come, I understand it is frustrating but there are just a couple guys doing this work and we have hundreds of wants and wishes. There are some priorities right now with adding some new products and these will all start to work together and get fleshed out in time.

OK, I got some answers. First, I was told that they are working on an update and master/slave is in the coding. This answer is from Jan Tunze, Felix's younger brother who does a lot of the coding work, especially for the website but he started working on the app, he checked in and read this thread but doesn't have an account to reply.

  1. Each device has to be assigned to the correct aquarium.
  2. Once a device is assigned, you cannot reassign it directly. The only way to do this is to delete the device, switch to the correct tank, search for the device again, and set it up in the correct tank.
  3. The reason you cannot see the devices in the tank view is, I think, simply because it was overlooked that this would be important information to display there.
  4. Once you are inside a tank, there is a device view at the bottom. However, this device view only shows the devices for the currently selected aquarium. To switch to another aquarium, you have to click on the nine dots, select the other aquarium, and then manage its devices from the device view.
  5. The reason the person is confused about the food timer is that all of their devices are currently assigned to one tank. They would need to reassign the devices to the correct tanks, as explained above.
And in general, I’m willing and confident that we can improve the app over time so that people no longer get confused by the navigation and overall structure. I’m sure Tobias sees these issues as well. Unfortunately, I’m only just getting started, so I still need some time to fully understand everything and figure out how we can improve it.
