I've got a chalk bass in my 65 gal right now, but I used to have a swissguard basslet. I see one available again, but I'm cautious about putting two different basses together so wanted to see thoughts.

I know you can't put different bass into the same tank; no chalk bass and lantern bass as they're all Serranus genus. Swissguard basslets are of the Liopropoma genus, but both liopromoa and serranus are of the serranide family.

So, should I give it a shot?

I've got a chalk basslet and swissguard in a 20 gallon, no problems at all. But I would be cautious
