Hello,
I have 4 EcoTech batteries so my pumps are fully set up in case of a power outage but I am searching for the best options to power my 3 Kessil a360x. Anyone have suggestions?
A generator. You are going to need a LOT of battery (we're talking 100's of watt hours to power one light for any length of time, let alone 3).

Portable generator imo. Might as well spend money that will cover the house instead of just the tank.

I have a 6500w from harbor freight. Think I paid $6 or 700

Thank you! We have generators- just trying to allow some protection if the power goes out while we are not home to start up generators.

Those lights at full power only generate 90 watts each..........assuming people ramp em up and down on a sunrise/sunset program they average about 30-40 watts each.......

Corals and fish can handle very low light for a good period of time........its not always clear blue skies with noontime sun beating down on corals.........the most important things are the pumps and heaters/chillers depending on ur setup........

That's all fine and dandy, but at what voltage? Do you need a inverter? End game is that you either have to diy a large battery setup @ the right voltage or buy a BIG battery w/ an inefficient inverter for to power the lights for any length of time.

Heaters and pumps are the most important things for sure

For a day or less time a couple of RV batteries and an inverter will be just fine, if the power is going to be out longer a generator is a best bet. Either way i wouldnt be worried about powering led lights, id be worried about main pump and heater/chiller combo........or the area i live in ;)
