I'm planing to do a Bayer dip tonight for the first time because I just discovered AEFW's. I don't trust my math - the last time I dosed something I added twice as much as I was supposed to - so I just want to confirm that I'm using the correct amount. I'm going to be dipping the acres into a one gallon bucket and, according to my calculations, that translates to one cup of Bayer. Is that accurate?

I actually surveyed R2R a while ago on their dilution.

I will begin with one of the earliest videos on it's use, HERE, where they used 0.8 mls per 100 mls tank water.

I've rounded out this dose to 1 ml per 100 with great success.

Your 1 cup per gallon comes out to 6 1/4 mls per 100.... More than enough.

Now for the survey....HERE....post #55 has the summary.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys. I’m gonna hop on to this thread. My zoa has turned to a pale white/gray colour for 3 days now. Mostly every thing online for using Bayer dip refers to frags freshly
procured. Can I dip my existing zoa with bayer? Levels in my tank are fine except for nitrates up around 25-30. Trying to bring down with bi weekly water changes.
Light about 10” from Zoa. Medium water flow.

Suggestions? Thanks very much. Pic of Zoa attached
