WOW thats one happy coral, looks beautiful, well done.
Yeah totally this looks insane! honestly not sure what it is either at this point but the coloration is super cool. Might be murderbath? But if so it’s definitely outside the typical look.
Either way please keep us posted on this guy.

Thanks for your inputs, yeah I have a Murderbath, awesome stag, but this is a different acro for sure

It looks similar to your BC Cricket Spine I believe

Its so crazy the different colors the same coral will get in everyone's tanks. So many different factors to change it. From lights to chemical makeup of your water caused by so many different things also from what you dose to I'm using this salt your using that kind of salt, I feed this you feed that. I dont know why this interest me so much, but it does.

I wonder if Copps is still around and running a reef tank
He absolutely is. I had to reach out to him just recently because I actually used his visage in the grow out flyer we have going on for his Calacali over on humble. It's honestly hilarious and he loved it. Kinda lol I believe his exact words were "it kind of makes me look like a serial killer". I assured him no it only makes him look like a serial keeper, of cool Acropora.

I finally got this one to wake up after a year of dormancy. BC Blood Bank. Hopefully the cricket spine wakes up too 🥴

Its a cool piece its was slow grower for me also. But it was worth the wait, I unfortunately lost mine a few months ago.

You’ve got everything dialed in, brother!
Thank you! That laser melon is a killer piece but that fire truck is pretty Insane in real life it glows more than the laser.

I moved the cool bruise under halide. Color looks a little different but it’s growing explosively.

Long way to go with my bruise! Have you seen it change with higher/lower nitrates? I'm experimenting with higher nitrates and trying to understand growth vs. color.

My nitrates have been in the 5-10 range mostly over the last since since I first got a frag of the bruise. I do see a difference in color when po4 was lower or higher. Currently my po4 is holding around .1 and it’s been a good mix of color and growth.
Out of curiosity, what was your copper level on your last ICP?

I have also been using Miami Reef's Ammonium Chloride + Urea combo and it raised my NO3 up to almost 20 pretty quickly. I had to dial that way back as it has caused a pretty dramatic algae bloom and the hydroids are also really going gangbusters again. The acros sure do love it though with growth and PE. Not as much of the deep colors like reds and purples as quite a few acros have shifted to more of a green hue - especially the smooth skins. I'm going to bring NO3 back down into the 10-15 range and probably keep it there as a happy medium.
