Hello all!
I'm setting up a dedicated filtration room, and I need my Bean Animal drain to go down the hall about 8 feet before it gets to the sump. Basically I plan to have a 90 degree fitting at the bulkhead, run over about 8ish feet, then 90 into the sump. I will slope the PVC a few degrees so that it runs slightly downhill for the entire run.
I was wondering about noise from that "trickle" pipe. Is this still going to be dead silent like it is now? Or will I hear the little bit of water that's going down that trickle pipe all the time?
I was also wondering about the time to achieve full syphon once the pumps are turned back on after feeding. This takes maybe a minute now, will having the long pipes make that take longer? Or will it be about the same?
Thank you!
