Hello! First post. Brand new to reefing. I was wondering if anyone could post about which corals they started with and add a picture of their growth and how it’s doing? I plan on getting a biocube 16 which I’ve been told has really good lighting by my lfs. Thank you in advance!

Hello and.............

As far as beginner corals go I would start with mushrooms, zoos, green star polyps and maybe a candy cane coral.
The best advice I can give you is to go slowly and read as much as you can about the corals you plan to keep. Stability is key in this hobby, nothing likes radical swings so try to keep things stable. Then comes flow and lighting. Try to pick a mentor that is successful and ask them for advice. The forums are a great place to learn but it can sometimes be overwhelming to get so many differences on things. Always ask though, there is always good advice here...

Welcome. I do not have pictures but my best luck with easy corals have been mushrooms and Kenya tree coral. Dustin
