Welcome, Gavin!
It looks like you have a bunch of answers and directions to answers already. Do your research. Take your time. Ask a lot of specific questions. Take your time. Research the answers you get. Take your time.
One last bit of advice, don't rush anything in this hobby. You will end up spending a lot of money, relatively, and after having invested so much you really want to be successful and we want you to be successful too. So, slow down, learn and enjoy!

Hello everyone, my name is Gavin and I was wanting to start a saltwater aquarium. I was wanting to get some advice on starting an aquarium and basic things I'm going to need to start and average price for starting and ect!! Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

@Gavin1274 Welcome to R2R!!!

Where are you located? Name the city, and I'll browse your local Craigslist offerings, and try to provide what I see as positives and negatives currently listed. I have bought 4 tanks in 5 months, so I have had some great experiences (both good things and learning experiences!)

Welcome!

Welcome Gavin. Man, you are getting some great advice already. Craigslist can be a great resource or a great way to just spend money. I bought my 125 on Craigslist, and while I think I did alright ultimately, I wound up replacing a lot of the stuff that came with it before long. Just be careful.

Start with a budget, location in your home preferably away from a window and be sure to visit our marketplace " For Sale" which always has used quality equipment which is a money saver

I'm new on here too; the seasoned members are VERY helpful. My experiences go very far back and it's a new world of tank keeping so good luck to us both!
