Choco dude has begun to swim up to the front glass when I wander over and zone out watching the tank.

he even sometimes follows my face as I move around.

So I think for now, I’m going to just run t5 on the 120. Reason being I can get a usable fixture for under $200 which would allow me to move forward with my build.

then, when I can afford the photon, I’ll have a solid backup light ready in case I ever need it.

Kasa smart power strip would work good with those ! I use it for my orphek lights / pumps to feed, kinda like a mini apex haha

I love them. Just don’t know how to tie them into the hydros. And now hydros has their answer to Neptune’s smart powerbar

No that's the ajd power strip. I Think Doug is talking about a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth controllable smart switch.

or maybe go back to noop for the v3. Or t5.

I use 3 orphek blue plus and two reef days plus. My tank is 40b and I use the orphek or3 90. I may be putting out too much light according to the par numbers -supposedly around 200 par a bar

James from orphek recommend just two bars lol but I received two extra when ordering so I decided to use them

Easily could , then eventually you can use them to supplement if you decide to go with more light

wonder how the new blue sky plus and day plus would look? I like enough blue to get some fluorescence but not winded blue.

They also have a UV/violet bar that I think would be cool lol
