I finally got rid of the turf algae in my GSP garden, and it was looking pretty good when I came into the office this morning. MOst of the GSP in this tank spread when I was ripping pieces out. Once it takes hold, you're done...

Added some Fluconazole on 12/24. Turf algae is quickly disappearing. Unfortunately I am stating to get what I can only assume is dinos... blowing it off nightly for now. Will take further action if necessary. I'm starting to get some decent growth on a lot of my acros, but they've some have lost some color in recent weeks. PE is good so I am not going to act at the moment.

Also, I love dendros! I picked this guy up for $40 dollars over the weekend. I wasn't planning on adding anything new until I got my algae issues under control, but couldn't pass it up.

Dinos have pretty much taken over. My nutrients bottomed out, and I accidentally spilled a fair amount of vinegar into the tank while cleaning my gyres which i'm sure didn't help. It's to the point where they're starting to smother corals. Nothing has died as of now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I lost a few of my acros in the coming weeks.

I have been feeding like crazy to get my nitrates up, I added some Seachem flourish to get phosphates up a little, and I shut down my fuge. I dosed h2o2 for a week or so, and that seemed to help a little. I am going to keep doing what I am doing, and if nothing changes in a week or so, time to shop for a new UV sterilizer.

Good news/Bad news time.

Good news, algae is completely gone, and dinos are 99.9% gone. Bad news, I lost four previously healthy fish in the past month. I'm pretty bummed, but the tank as whole is looking about as good as it's ever looked. I run my ALK relatively high most of the time. I believe the quick drop in nutrients caused a few acros to get burnt tips, but they seem to all be bouncing back. The couple zoas I have ase open for the first time in a while, and my euphyllias are as fluffy as they were pre dinos.

I can't seem to get a good pic of this, but I counted 32 little branches sprouting on my Bonsai last night

Joes Rainbow lost the red polyps, but this has been a great grower for me. Hopefully they come back soon...

I dosed some vibrant recently, and immediately got hit with cyano. It’s staying on the sand for now so I’m not too bothered by it, but have chemiclean on hand if it gets to spreading.

TSA Princess peach
Turned green for a while, but is coming back around. No new branches, but has encrusted a bunch.

Dinos came back after using chemiclean. I'm pretty sure there was some sort of contaminant in my water change water because the two times dinos came on were after large water changes. They are handled, but much stress to the corals. Fortunately nothing died, and everything is pretty much back to normal.
