My ato just broke probably because it was cheap, but now I need to get a new one, and didn't know if you guys had any good ideas. Preferably under $120 and the tank is 40 gallons if that matters, thanks.

I have kamoer, tunze, JBJ which I love because of the float switches vs optical sensors but they no longer make, and a cheap .Amazon. unit. They all work for me.

Tunze and RedSea have reliable ATOs. You can get free shipping on most of the reefing websites if you spend $49.99 or more.

ATOs play an important part in keeping salinity stable and having them fail while away would be very nerve-wracking. This is an area I would not cheap out on.

I’ve had auto Aqua smart ATO on my all in one for almost 2 years. Reliable, nothing has failed,etc. it’s 135 on bulk reef.

The one I bought there appeared to be original and has been on the tank for almost 2 years.
