best camera for pics

A nice easy camera with underwater capability. Under $400.00
Olympus Tough TG-3. Daughter had 1 for a photography class
Great macro shots also. Found it very useful getting deep into my acros when I was killing off my red bugs.
Couple shots and for most part point and shoot once you put it on the setting you want.

I think I see an underwater camera in my future...

How does it handle color in the reef tank? Are you processing after the fact or manually setting white balance?

no processing no software used.
I used the settings on the camera alone
There is underwater macro settings.
You will be amazed with how easy it is to learn. Play with the different settings, flashes etc.
Well those pics are in my reef tank under leds you tell me :)
This camera was built for the challenged in mind. I am no camera expert

@revhtree has a point. There's a BIG difference between a regular shot or go into detailed shot-macro.

I really would like to get a good camera to take pics of my tanks, but I have found it to be over whelming. The one camera I did buy(can't remember) I returned. Nice shots above maybe I should consider the olympus.

Gonna buy this now and test it out tonight. Looks good to me

I did a good amount of research on these at the time my daughter had it, and it was the highest rated underwater camera in its price point.
How much easier can it get here are just a couple presetting you can choose from. Look for the single fish for underwater macro ha ha ha love it. Believe me you can do some absolutely crazy stuff with it.
Some more pics below when I was messing with settings and playing around. Again the camera does it all I did not manipulate pictures.

Good stuff.
You are well on your way
This is playing around with the microscope setting with the led light. What setting have you found the best to get a close up shot and get those colors in Your pics ?

Think you are doing pretty well :)
I will try to remember what we did. No longer have the camera as daughter had to turn it in at end of class which was over year + ago.

Read this thread from @Battlecorals
http://reef2reef.com/threads/let’s-...into-photographic-dupery.241262/#post-2824179

It will explain how you can view what settings someone used when taking pictures and if they used photoshop etc.. Used this thread myself so know steps work. Been a while
This will allow you to see my settings that I used.
If it does not help let me know and I will go through the pics and pull out info for you.
A lot of it had to do with turning led setting on, or no flash, etc
Can't remember if we messed with ISO.
