Started my tank about a two years ago, still trying to convert my tank into a reef but afraid of another down fall. Any advice?
Welcome!

Agree focus on water quality. Defer to others re:dosing as I bought some used dosing pumps but haven't even tried to use them yet :)

Welcome to R2R! Sounds like you were doing well until the algae treatment killed off your corals last time, so you seem to have all the necessary items to keep corals again. Fighting algae can definitely be tricky -- did you ever figure out if the treatment was toxic to the corals, or did it do too good of a job, i.e., kill off the algae too fast and cause a spike that killed the corals? Good luck on your second attempt!
