Best HQI Bulbs For...

What are the best 250wt DE bulbs for a PFO 250wt HQI ballast? Just bought the ballast and PFO pendant used for a killer price and need a new bulb. Like a blue look by the way...so let's say 20k bulbs.

alot of people seem to like xm 20k. i personally like the 14k phoenix.

I currently have the 14k Phoenix, but saw the 20k Ushio and want those now.

I used the 14k Phoenix and loved the bulb and thought I had great color. Then a friend talked me into Ushio 20k bulbs and WOW I have been missing some color! I had zoas with such great color I couldn't even tell, my corals are getting brighter and I even have corals changing colors. I would highly recommend the Ushio 20k if your looking for great colors.

I am actually considering the Phoenix 14's. I originally thought about the Ushio 20's but read that the par rating is pretty low compared to the Phoenix and other 20k's. I don't want to sacrifice very much growth for color...though color is very important to me.
Choices, choices. It's not like I can go out and buy like 3 bulbs to "try" out!

I've got the 20k ushio's and I was really happy with the color. Its a nice blue color but it isnt overwhelming.

I have the helio 20k's and LOVE them. everyone thinks i'm running radiums untill I open my canopy. (That includes people that are running 250 and 400 watt radiums.) no actinic just the 2 250 de bulbs. AMAZING colors! problem is...I can't find them on the internet anymore to buy. I have heard that EVC are the same exact bulb as the helio. maybe someone no here could confirm that? But those are what I would suggest!
