I currently have an ocean revive black box over my 60g cube. Looking to upgrade here in the near future, so I’m trying to figure out the best system for the money I should keep my eyes out for. Looking to keep easy coral in there as it’s my first tank. I know there’s lots of options and I want to make sure I have the right coverage and depth for the tank. Thanks in advance!

Two ORs or two Black boxes.

Honestly, it’s the other way round.
Best light for X $’s.

I got the black box over it now but I just don’t like the way it looks or controls. Not too familiar with the OR?

I should mention I do plan to go used

Ocean revive t247. OR.

Pretty much anything will work.

Just avoid long fixtures and strips. Razors , current
Pendant Style is likely want you want. Radion AI, kessil etc.

Ah yeah got it now lol. I don’t like my ocean revive. I do like the kessil lights and the others but I’m unsure how many? Most say the can cover 24 but recommend less so I’m never sure.

One 360 will cover the whole thing, but some worry about shading. Dunno.
A couple 160 would also work. 3-4 and your full blown sps and clam on the sand.

One 15 or one 30 would do that cube pretty good though

Would you do all 3 across the back? I saw the 360 could cover 24 but I wasn’t sure.

Of the 160s? No id triangle them.

Imagine a flashlight filling a square.

The 360 is a really powerful flashlight and wide too.

Having three seperated let’s light in from more angles.

One big ligh , like a Radion 30 or a B.B. (or two) does the same thing. Like a t5. Light from all angles. (If you were on the bottom of the tan that is )

Me, I like broad light sources.

We’re i to kessil , I’d do multiples.

Maybe I’ll try to acquire a couple of the 160’s and then add another later?
