Any reason for this suggestion?
Umm. The or is good , but less power than a B.B.
two B.B. will give Bette coverage to avoid shading (and add t5 etc)

A razor is made for long tanks and the diodes are set for that.
Strips will shoot a narrow beam so you lose front and back. Several strips would work , but....

Basically choose a light that fits the shape kinda

I started with a kessil a360 on my 60g cube and didn’t like the shadowing so I added the aquaticlife hybrid. So I agree with the multiple sources of light like a couple a160s. But if it were me I’d add the aquaticlife hybrid to your black box. T5s really aren’t that expensive and they last around 18months.

So you think the multiple a160’s would be better than an a360w to start?

Maybe I’ll try to acquire a couple of the 160’s and then add another later?
That is what I would say if you are going to go that route...
Have you looked into the DIY route?
My 35g cube will be using 3 lumina COB arrays. They are fairly cheap, and small you could easily string together 4 of them over your tank... there is also an ebay option four similar COB to that of the radion, but for 1/10th the price.

I would just get another OR to match your current one as well. There are plenty of examples of people doing just as much with these as any other type of LED.

I am not a LED guy and prefer other types of light, but a general warning is to avoid people who will tell you that their "current" light is the best that they have had. So many times, the "current" piece of equipment just happened to be around when the tank got mature or the reefer got better at their craft. This is not always true so please do not take offense, but people who will tell you with some nuance about their travel through equipment is usually more useful.

I agree with that for sure. I was hoping to go for a “cleaner” look since my tank is in the kitchen area. Any suggestions there?

Hi, how much money do you plan on spending for the upgrade? I would look into the Radions, Mitras. Reef Breeders or the Orpheks, all 4 are very good lights, and one Orphek, one Reef Breeder or two Radions and maybe 1 Mitra would cover the tank. For the money the Reef Breeders are very good stylish lights and will be the cheapest of the four lights. They are way better then the black bow lights.

No, sorry. I am setting up the same tank just after the new year and I am going to use a 250W Hamilton Bimini Sun with 14k Phoenix on it... not what you are looking for, but an awesome light.
