MH + T5 combo is one that may never be beat... but affordability comes into play at a certain point.

LED's are much more affordable and do provide very nice results.
No it's not the same as the crisp t5's but it is fair and affordable.

T5's and halides were a beautiful sight in their day though :)
They actually agree in that video from BRS, posted by Oreo, that halides and T5s are more affordable. I think it's debatable in terms of climate variables. I put quality first! It's hot here. I spent same wattage with LEDs to try to gt acceptable results and didn't work at all! I need chiller anyway.

T5s? Good times!!!
Serious lights for serious results, period!

Notice they were starting to add some Radions over some of the systems around that time.
I called them and asked why, they said they needed because of problems with electricity availability for their facility.

Now you guys can see and compare some published results and judge by what you see.
Results ARE different!!
Whatever light you like... bring that home and be happy with it!

One more... this is supposed to be one of the "best tanks" out of that 300 gallon system!! 10 years later? Even his friend was laughing at him.

Oh man... I told them!!! So sorry!!!
If that is what you guys want to follow, please go ahead.
I knew this thread would be fun!

Here... not too long ago when "halides lighting was still live and kicking". Was BRS trying to get rid of their stock?
I think they actually knew that halides were the best!

Pay attention to this system in the video above!
They are planning to eventually change the halides for LEDs. Wait 2 years after they change and you will see a huge difference in coloration, coral formation and growth!
Below is another system that they are planning to change. If they do... you will see the differences!

By the way... in this WWC channel they filter the comments. Only what they like to hear is published as a comment!

Very nice dogs! Thanks for sharing!!
Maybe @90's reefer can contribute with a picture of his dog as well?
You guys have a great weekend!
The dog in my avatar is going to be my retirement dog in a year.
I am going to get back into schutzhund training with a Belgian Malinois.
I promised myself I would not get another dog until I could spend the time they require and deserve.
That said, this was my last dog who passed in 2001. Very well trained in Schutzund.
Mako, the land shark, was his name and he will always be missed.
This is the only pic I have of him.
