I, like many other reefers, love to watch my tank and would love to have a closer look at certain parts/things in my tank. Recently I have been scouring the internet for a tool that would let me do this and would love to hear y'alls opinions and/or experiences on the matter. I'd like one, not for photography, but for leisurely viewing. Some tools I have seen are things like:

- Deltec's Nanoscope

- Ogles Mesocope

- Handheld digital Microscope (Like Carson's): Amazon.com: Carson Zorb USB Digital Microscope with 35X Optical Zoom, Safari Green: Camera & Photo

I have heard good things about the Ogles Mesoscope. Been contemplating getting one but they are kinda expensive. Maybe someone on here who has one can chime in because I am interested in this as well.

For stuff relatively close to the front/sides of the tank, if you wear glasses,
Jewelers - Harbor Freight Tools
the wife reminds me what a dork I am whenever I use it.

They also have these
5 Piece Loupe Set
and they work surprising well. The closer something is, the higher magnification you can use.
If there's something on the glass, you can stack two of the loupes on each other and get a REALLY close-up (like see the mouth of an asterina).
I think like 10 bucks for both of them.

I use just a plain old hand held magnifying glass.

I have had the Ogles Mesoscope for years. I bought it when they first came out with them. It was expensive and I really had to think about it. Once I got it I was thrilled. I use it all of the time!!!! It has been worth every penny I spent on it, and more!!!
