I have found three similar looking species, Amphisorus hemprichii, Sorites marginalis and Marginopora vertebralis. All three bear Symbiodinium symbionts, zooxanthellae of the same genus as in corals and Tridacna clams.

Has anyone experimented with slide staining ? If so, what stains worked well and for what type of specimens?
