I am looking to start dialing in my Nitrates, as my future SPS stocking will require low but steady levels of nitrate and I need to measure them. I already have the hanna checker for phosphate but need one for Nitrate what are your guys recommendations

I use salifert and feel it works well.

The best Nitrate test kit is the one that you use regularly. My vote is for Salifert as well. I find their test kits to be easy to use, reasonably priced, and they give very repeatable results if used in the same way every time.

I like API's nitrate kit but I also like 20ppm nitrate. I find it easy and repeatable. I'm familiar enough I can glance at it and know if the color is where I want it.

I also keep a Salifert test if I want something a little more accurate.

I feel that if you want to keep NO3 under 5ppm then RedSea is a very good option.

Can't comment on any other tests as I haven't used them.

I like the NYOS test kit. I find having the reference solution very helpful because I am color blind and have trouble reading color changes and variations.

Based on @BRS testing, which is the best test of Nitrate kits accuracy we have right now, all nitrate kits are inaccurate, however, the Red Sea and Nyos kits are the least inaccurate of what's available to hobbyists. API and Salifert tested the worst.

When you say reference solution you simply mean the control vial with no reagent added that you slide over the colors right?

I use Red Sea Pro. It is reading the intensity of pink which is a bit problematic. Fortunately, one really has a fair bit of latitude in nitrate concentrations that will work for a reef. So the test is good enough.
