Does anyone have any recs for a powerhead for my 15g tank? I have two mini powerheads currently but I'm just not really satisfied with them. It is so hard to hone them in with such a small tank.. Thx

Which ones do you have and do you have a budget you want to stay under?

I've been looking at Hygger for my 8 gallon but they're around $60-$80 for even the small ones but they're controllable.

Actually, it looks like it's around $45 for this one I was looking at.
I have a sicce voyager nano and then another similar size random one from petsmart. Theyre fine...but the fact that theyre uncontrollable is a pain.

In terms of budget I honestly don't really have one. This hobby has proven "buy it right or buy it twice" lol. I'll take a look at the hygger one thx!

I have no experience with them but it's the one I've been looking at and considering for myself.

I second the Hygger option. I use this model in a 10 gallon reef with no issues since 9/2025.

I currently use 2 sicce voyager nano's in my 15 gallon, but I now want something smaller, less of an eyesore in a small tank, also want something controlloable. I'm currently in between a pair of jebao sow's or the hygger's

Any updates? I like the Hygger light wavemaker previously mentioned, but curious about Pawfly and AQUANEAT powerheads. None are adjustable from what I see but if you're looking for just something to move the water around w/o frills these seem cost effective . . . lifespan to be determined.

Another vote for the Tunze 6040. My 15g 6040 runs on 30 seconds and off 30 seconds. Works well and is a compact unit.
