Best Reef Light

Hi,
I have a 60 Gallon LPS/SPS tank. I have a budget of about 150 and I was wondering what the best light would be.
Current fish:
Two Maiami Whites
7" Snowflake eel
2" blue spotted pufferfish
Here is a picture of my 30 Gallon that I already have a light for, but I don't remember where I got it and so I'm looking for recommendations.

With the dimensions of the 60 will need a single large light or a couple of lights... for SPS I'm not sure $150 will do it... Not with full tank coverage at least. Are you keeping the 30 and moving it to the 60 or will you be running 2 tanks? If you're moving the 30, you might try to get another of whatever you have over it and double it up over the 60.

Not a whole lot out there in the $150 range. You might be able to find a 4-6 bulb T5 fixture somewhere online for under $100, but then you'll have to get bulbs and probably stuff to hang it up with.

Also, how did you get a pair of Miami Whites? Those are pretty rare and expensive fish.

I got the whites from a friend who got them for 600 in Maiami.

Be warned, that fixture has metal halides. They use a ton of power and the bulbs cost a lot, plus you have to replace them every couple months. They are not the most affordable solutions.

Grab that bad boy, replace it with whatever T5 bulbs you want (see link for help on deciding your combination)

That light could work if you didn't want SPS. Here is the PAR chart listed on the current usa website, its pretty accurate:

If you really want sps, you could get the Orbit Marine Pro. I think its still available even though it is not produced by current usa anymore.

The best coverage would be the 36-48, although you could get away with the 24-36

Yep plenty of black box full spectrum on eBay and you can prolly get 2 for $150 or very close to it
