Best sites for coral auctions?

I love the thrill of auctions.

Currently i participate in the following :

@calikidcorals
@Aqua-Vault
@TCK Corals
@Pieces of the Ocean

Any others you guys would recommend? I highly recommend the four above. All amazing coral and even better customer service.

I totally agree with this!

Cali Kid and TCK always have some really nice higher end corals up each week.

Never bought from poto but I have the other 3. Tck is best representation of wysiwyg imo. Cc is hard due to pics highly oversaturated and brightness but pieces were good and healthy. Av....trachy didn't live up too picture so donating 400$ to lfs soon after barnacle dig out heals fully. Sbb is gold!!!

Im pretty Local to TCK, never once been disappointed.

AV has been good to me so far, CK does saturate but the coral comes healthy but i agree.

Whitlyn Aquatics has an auction every monday night. The next weeks corals are usually posted before the auction even begins, so you can start planning ahead if you have a good idea of what the market is for certain corals. I got a massive blowpop zoa colony for 42 bucks for example- would have easily been 80-120 in store.

They live stream the auction on twitch and it's seriously super fun.

I'm looking to get into some coral auctions, but the thought of creating and managing a separate account for every seller's website is holding me back. Plus, I've found that many of them aren't very mobile-friendly.

This got me thinking—does anyone here still use eBay for corals? And are any of the recommended sellers, mentioned above active on there?

Are you able to follow your favorite sellers and get notifications when new items are listed? Are you able to message the seller on the website if you have any questions about their listings or invoices? I also like to use PayPal when possible, are you able to pay with PayPal?

I have purchased from POTO/ReefnBid, TCK, CaliKid, and SBB. I agree with @zusima that TCK has the most representative photos with POTO a few steps behind but still very fair representation. I really hate the photos on CaliKid and SBB but they have some nice stuff. SBB in particular can be very hard to deduce what something will actually look like but they run the most entertaining auctions.

Good to know. I think POTO runs ReefnBid. The only thing I do not like about eBay is anyone can sell on there but after doing some research it looks like anyone can sell on ReefnBid as long as they have a driver’s license to setup a Stripe account.

I just stopped by and picked up my Jersey Corals auction wins. The guys were swamped setting up for RAP but they were kind enough to bag my gear up for me on the spot. Can’t say enough good things about @Jersey Corals you guys gotta check out their auctions!!! Just don’t bid on the stuff I’m buying! Check them out at RAP NY as well!!!
