I have a Nikon d3200 with Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Lens and want to purchase a top down camera box.

Which do people think are the best?

I was thinking either Building an obsessions

or

or

http://www.avastmarine.com/collections/avast-built/products/top-down-port-xl

Avast uses 3 screws and BOA connects to the tripod connection.

There is also Melves:

also connects with the tripod connection...

Any others?

i'm using the avast extra long now... so far, it's been great. However, the plastic tubing is weak- mine cracked when i tried to tighten the screws to where it won't move when i submerge it in the tank (i'm using the fiber-wrap to hold it together now)--so for the price, i'm ok with it..

only if I've known, i would have bought the buildinganobsession (the one with adjustable rail--- this would be so much easier to mount your camera)

Thanks for the reply..
Yea that BAO adjustable one looks nice but is up there in price too..
I was leaning toward the BOA but not adjustable one. I thought the adjustment was just so it could use any of the small non slr/dslr cameras, but maybe it would be best to have some adjustment.

Another thing I like about the BAO is it is black and thicker material so it would not allow so much light. Anyone think that is a plus? I know the Avast used to be black too.

I am really new to cameras and want to do it right the first time.
