I just set up my first AWC using 2 versas. I'm changing 4 liters over 2 hours 4 times a day. I'm wondering if there is a method that causes less or more wear on the pumps? Slower for longer periods, faster for shorter periods or very slow continuously? Or will the wear be the same regardless? TIA
Your a wealth of knowledge @BeanAnimal and thoughts?

Sorry this did not get an answer yet. I think @Randy Holmes-Farley would be a good person to ask, if he has a minute to reply. He's got an AWC setup, and I believe he's quite knowledgeable about the pumps and tubing wear.

I would believe running at slower speeds helps with life span? My kamoer tubing life expectancy changes off continuous use speed ratings. Anyways I use a DOS QD for my AWC. I just set it up through the AWC settings. I input 1.5 gallons daily for my 1% daily change. It auto calculates it out but basically runs 15 minutes on 15 minutes off 24/7. Love it! Plan on changing tubing yearly.
