Beveling glass edges

In the process of my build I am construction a sump and redoing my overflow. I have always used acrylic in the past due to their ease of use. However, acrylic and glass don't always bond well together and when cutting you can get jagged edges no matter how careful you are.

This go around I am using glass. I purchased a couple glass sheets to cut to size, but would like to bevel the edges for a better bonding area. Anyone ever do this? Certain tools needed? I have grinders and sanders and flap discs like crazy, would those work?

I think you're asking about glass seaming. Typically, a 1" belt sander with about 120 grit sandpaper is used but you could use a 3" or 4" belt sander. Just use light pressure and don't stay in one spot too long.
