I just got this bicolor blenny on saturday. But he found his hole on the rock and just staying there all the time. Poked out his head and back in, but never swam around even when I gave him food. Hikari seaweed pellets, frozen mysis, frozen brine.

Should I be worried?

I had a similar Blenny that did that. It eventually would come out normally especially during feeding but it would often go back to it’s hole

Well.. at least my blenny is exploring now... I guess that hole was not up to his standard. He moved to another spot

So he is in between 2 spots now. but he is still not eating the food that I gave them.. My tank is fairly new. no visible algae still. so I am worried if he will be ok...

How is he now? I just got 1 and it's doing the same thing. I'm also concerned about food as it's a new tank.

Hey.
Thank you for your concern. He is doing fine. He will be roaming between his holes now. Not shy anymore.
He would finally eat some hikari marine algae.
But still won't touch any nori sheet. LoL.

The Blennys I have had all have a preferred hole and then a few others they will hang out in from time to time. I think they feel safe and happy in them. Assume other conditions are good in the tank, when it decides to it, it won’t stop. They love to eat. It may not eat so much while adjusting to the tanks though.
