I agree ! The SOL's do a nice job! The hydras sure have nice spread with new reflectors they use

Yes,it was! I run a BK 180 mini and a Vertex 150 now. That was a reef octopus you saw in the pic along with my BK.the Vertex does much better then reef octo in my opinion

Yeah it is nice skimmer. The BK still does most of the work tho. The vertex pulls nice skim still and is silent! The reef octopus drove us nuts! Way too loud for a cabinet

The thing I don't like about BKs is they don't have a gradual transition from the body of the skimmer to the neck of the cup. It's an abrupt change and impedes the flow of foam.
