Whats a good brand to use? Trying to control my nitrates and water changes is not helping me. My system is 450g total water volume. Sps dominant with medium fish load. Phos at 0.02 with just skimming

I have been using BRS Biopellets and ordered some from the Marine depot clearance.
I actually started wondering how many places in the world these are made. They probably all come from the same place.

I had order Warner Marine Ecobak. Not sure how it compares to the BRS pellets

No idea. I dont see anything in the description that is unique, That is how all bio
To be fair, it's a novel polymer... the only pellet using THAT polymer while EVERY other brand uses the same polymer from the same mfg. EcoBAK was the first BP from a US company. Well reviewed, too...

I've used two little fishys.
Ecobak.
Dr tims.
All 3 good.
I've used 1 before I didn't like. Can't remember the brand.
Currently I use Amazon or ebay pellets.
I got these cause they were the cheapest and seemed good quality for the price and amount.
The ones I didn't like were the pearls now that I think about it more.

They are all just mostly a polymer plastic that degrades over time as they rub against each other. Ur just creating more aerobic or anaerobic area for bacteria.
I always run my output to the skimmer.
They work.

The pearls were bigger than avg pellets and didn't tumble well.
I actually have a video of my XL aquamaxx pellet reactor in action if anyone's interested. I highly recommend pellets. Most can't get through the 1st stage which clouds their aquarium. Lol
