Usually the initial cloudiness goes away.
I've ran lots of different pellets and I don't think it really matters as long as they are a polymer plastic.
I messes up and currently have a large ball grade size below my initial kind.
I get em off Amazon or ebay. Lol.
I use the tank to cycle em and kick em.
Than I add and add until I reach my desired amount.
Output I tunnel to my skimmer water intake.
I run a recirculating skimmer..

I know it's been a while since I updated but the bio pellets are still not working and I refuse to give up. I added a ph probe and noticed it's very low 7.2 to 7.4 my coral tank across the room runs about 8.2 200 gallon system. Do bio pellets need higher ph to work?

It sounds like the bacteria from the bio pellets breaking off is going into the water column and creating a bacterial bloom. You need to have the outlet of the biopellets directly feeding into the skimmer pump so it can remove the bacteria that is binded to the nitrate.

How long has it been running? My bio pellets took about 3 months to kick in.

What is your Phosphates measuring? Phosphates are needed in addition to the carbon source.
