Biotek Marine PVC - Is it legit?

Hello All,

I was trying to source out some PVC for my new build and saw the Biotek Marine brand on @AquariumSpecialty ’s website.

anyone have luck using these?

Good point - somehow I thought they would be more expensive. Since its an aquarium company - I would assume they are safe. I would call them

why couldnt you use like home depot pvc? thats what i have in my tank for some caves.

I'm not using it for caves, I'm using it to plumb my tank. They have a lot of options for colors and etc.

I do not think there is any advantage to 'colored' PVC - as compared to clear plastic silicone tubing. If price is your issue - I would buy tubing. If you want to just PVC 'just because' - or if you are wanting an open sump look like some have - go ahead and buy it - whats the worst thing that could happen? Not sure what your question is? Toxins? Quality?

I would buy it - My last post was not clear - what is the worst thing that could happen? I would guess that colored PVC is not in high demand - and that 'aquarium specialty' can order in larger quantities. The other companies probably just charge more.

Wish Formufit sold more PVC fittings then I could reach that $150 free shipping.

Not me, I make Slide-Loc containers and racks which they sell and later designed the isolation boxes for them that are now under BioTek.
