Birdsnest Dying! Pics!

So i have a birds nest and am having a byropsis problem wich is getting rid of, But my birdsnest is getting really bad from it. This Crap is growing on my birdsnest! Will it be ok once algea is dead?

Any parts that have algae growing on them are guaranteed to be dead. Other parts may still be alive.
