I just did the thing, you know the "thing". Placed my order for a custom 84x30x31 338 gallon reef tank. Should get drawings to approve on Monday. There is a long lead time but that gives me time to really figure out what I want in this build.

I've been in and around the hobby since 1987 but this is my first time getting a tank built to my wishes. Super excited!

Highlights of the build:

GlassCages 338 all low iron euro braced display (Thanks to Joe and the GC team for getting this going)
125 under tank sump (a 6' crusty old oceanic tank)
Custom steel stand (my build)
4 Radion xr30 pro G5s (have 2, 2 pending)
MP60s for circulation in the tank (thanks @speedieber )
Reef Octopus 300-EXT skimmer (thanks Derrick at Scales & Tales LFS)
Reef Octopus KS-250 Kalk Stirrer (Premium Aquatics)
CoralVue Hydros for control (thanks Derrick at Scales & Tales LFS)
Redundant Maxspect return pumps (BRS)
BRS RO system (still debating how I want to handle water changes)
BRS dosing pumps
More to come.....

Steel is cut, now I got to weld it up! Bought a harborfreight welder so I could do this on my own time.

Lights and pumps are in. Going with a lower cost option for the return pumps to create a redundant system. I cannot justify $500+ for a single pump that is not backed up with a good mfg warranty.

Here we go. The RO system is on my cabinet till I can figure out a more permanent solution.
