just a FYI for anyone looking to go to Blakes Aqua they moved to a new location. Went to the old one twice before I realized this ha. Just figured he was closed.
Went there today still setting up stuff but looking forward to seeing it all done.

Here is the address. 1263 E Main St Meriden, CT,

Yes they said it's actually a bit smaller but looks so much bigger and better. Most of all closer to me... I wish he'd carry live black worms I'd have no reason to go to Wallingford then.

It's actually just off 691 e main street exit, on the left if coming from Middletown.

I have purchased black worms from Blakes, but it was in the summer, so maybe things have changed,
Yeah he stopped carrying them. I'm hopeful he'll start again. Not sure why he doesn't have enough demand for them. Yet apc sells out in 3 to 4 days every week. I'm usually the guy buying the last of them.

I was getting them from APC as well, but then I got a few portions that were a tad ripe so I stopped for a while, then I won that big pack of Rods at Cmac, so I have been using that up.

A little plug for Blake's. I got this pink stylo there a few months back...

Hey gets some nice stuff here and there. I find the longer I spend looking the more I end up spending. I guess that goes for everywhere.

Hey guys for anyone that cares they are actually moving again lol. Bigger place 3 x the size. Phones are working during the move they will be done by the beginning of November this year. They are moving to a bigger place in wallingford, ct.

That's awesome news! Not just because that parking lot is a bit funky lol. Glad to hear they're doing well over there. I'll have to visit when I come back into town.

920 s colony st in wallingford ct. They will be fully open on black Friday having a huge opening sale. I'm there asap when they open lol. Just making everyone aware now.

Great info thanks, I had hoped they were just expanding again within that building (selfishly much closer to me than Wallingford) but glad they are growing.

In my opinion *blakes aqua den is best LFS* out of main branch pet stores and other small LFS in CT. The only other 2 LFS I've been to that compares are *C&T pets* and *Aquatic Wildlife Co*. Though those 2 are much more expensive and don't care as much about their live stock, they care more for the dry goods.

So, is the new place open? I'm going to be needing salt before the grand opening abd that's where I've always gotten it..
New address is 920 south colony st, Wallingford...right?

Yes but store is not open. Old location is still open.

I was thinking about having them order me a one spot foxface fish.

I'll be looking to buy some fish from there too but I'm going away in 2 weeks so I will wait until I get back. Don't want to put too much pressure on the tank sitter!!!
New set up too so going through the "nasties"!! Ugh!

lol I went through plenty of issues with my initial setup. I went on vacation for 1 week recently so I put a high quality slow tablet feeder in my tank and they were fine. I had no veggie eaters at that point so that saved me having to worry about a tank sitter.
