Blasto has something weird on base

Hi everyone my blasto has been in my tank for a few weeks and it’s been doing amazing and yesterday I noticed some weird white stringy looking things and now today it isn’t as open as usual.

Can’t really tell from the pics but if it’s a white string coming out it could be a vermetid snail , which irritates corals and could cause it to stop opening fully.
