Picked oup a Blast Wellsi frag yesterday. I already have a small Merletti colony and just wondering if the can be placed together, or will they fight?

Not too sure about yours, but my blastos are wimps. They close up if anything even thinks of going near them- I’d keep them apart. Even corals of the same species and different colors can fight, so Id play it safe

Is keep them separate as well. Target feed wellsi with meaty foods for increased growth.

Voice of dissention I guess. I keep several small blasto colonies near (not on top of) each other with no fighting whatsoever. I don't think they have sweeper tentacles or anything to do long-range damage with (If they do, I've never seen them) .

I agree- no sweepers from them. I’d be mostly concerned with their polyps coming in contact, which could result in the death of one or both polyps

Thank you. Have a good spot picked out with enough room between the two

These 2 are next to each other and burry themselves into each other when puffed up. I actually think they appear happier when touching. They are different types, not easy to tell from pic.
