Could one add bleach to newly mixed salt water, and later use a product like Prime to neutralize the bleach?

Could I fill a container w/ a 10% bleach/water mix, and later drain then remove the bleach? What would remove the bleach?

My mixing station consists of 2, 20 gallon Rubbermaid trash cans. Both are covered; RODI all the time, SW except when mixing. A black film constantly grows over all submerged surfaces in the SW container. I've clean and dried it, but the substance comes back. It smells like mold.

The house is mold free (except for this container). The RODI is a 7-stage, BRS unit with new media throughout. It is reading 0 TDS into the RODI storage container.

Thanks

PS - Hope this was the right forum, based on the nature of the question.

What kind of salt are you using? Reef crystals and some others will leave a dark brown film on everything

You can bleach your container, and then drain it to waste, refill, add prime or your favorite de-chlorinator (I double the dose to be safe), run a pump for a day or so with the lid off (this also aids in the chlorine evaporation). Drain to waste, refill with rodi wait a day and test for chlorine. I stopped using bleach and switched to vinegar, as it is safer overall. I don't need prime, in that case, and worst case scenario, I'll have a bacterial bloom and slightly lower the pH.
