Next steps... actually finish ordering my Octo aquatics top, buy a mind stream, get an atk, figure out a better aquascape with the new coral coming, buy a beautiful war paint scoly , buy a pretty maxima clam. Then I’ll think I’ll be done for a while. Maybe a fish or two after all that.

I agree with @Mike.P and would be doing separate returns.
I would use the same size return pump for each for versatility in case one of the pumps quit you could tee the line off and run both tanks until you go another one.

Can I ask what your running for flow in you 60? Return and power heads? Just setting up my 60g, hopefully will have water in a few weeks. Also did you put an egg crate under your sand bed?

I went way over board. I wanted the bones to be able to work if I were to upgrade to a bigger tank one day. The stand is big enough for a 120 gallon. The return is a VarioS 6 I think.
