It's been a while since we checked in, so here's an overdue update, and finally a picture! A few of you asked for photos back when we joined, and here's one of our juveniles in grow-out.

We've been heads-down raising fry and building out the hatchery since that first small batch. We now have a handful of bonded pairs going to new homes: Black Frostbite, Extreme Snowflake and a couple of Mocha pairs. Each one is listed with a photo of the actual pair, so you know exactly what you're getting. If you're curious, they're at blueeyedclowns.com/bonded-pairs.

We'll try to post updates here more regularly, with fry progress, pairs and whatever we're learning along the way. Happy to answer any breeding questions too.

Quick Tuesday update from the fishroom. No new pics this week (working on it), so here's the question we get most when a pair ships out: what do I do the first few days after they land?

- Take your time acclimating. Float to match temp, then drip slowly to match salinity. Rushing it is the most common mistake we see.
- Keep the lights low or off for the rest of the day. They come out of the box stressed, and a dim tank helps them settle in.
- Hold off on food until the next day, then feed small.
- Add a bonded pair together. Put them in at the same time, not one now and one later, so they stay a pair.
- Give them a spot to claim. A rock cave or a soft coral works fine; tank-raised clowns don't need an anemone.
