Have a Blue face angel that is now starting to fade and have pale patches on him. Does anyone knows why? I am already treating with prazipro and kanaplex.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

How long have you had the fish? Is it still eating? Is it breathing fast? How long ago did you treat with prazipro?

Had him for about 5 weeks. He is aggressively eating and no signs of breathing hard. Added prazi 2 days ago.

If you could get a clearer picture and/or a short video, that would help. I'm leaning towards flukes due to the timeframe, the species involved, that it is still eating and then, the photo. The prazi may not have had time to work yet, or it may have been mis-dosed. One way to screen for flukes is to give the fish a 5 minute freshwater dip, have you done those before?

I haven’t did a fresh water dip before. Will rodi water heated to the same temperature as the tank will work?

RODI water can have a really low pH, I normally use dechlorinated tap water. You can use RODI, just put a teaspoon of sea salt to buffer the pH. Remember, dips can be stressful and carry some risk. Don’t beat the fish up trying to catch it. Make sure no detritus gets into the dip with the fish, you’ll want to canine the bottom of the container to look for flukes after it’s done.
