Hi everyone. This is my first post but have been lurking for a few months now. My tank is 5 months old and It’s my first ever aquarium. I purchased my chromis about 3 weeks ago and it’s been active and healthy. It currently is exhibiting two symptoms.

4 days ago, these grey/dark spots appeared on each side of his body. They aren’t red (right now at least) and there are a number of small patches of them, so I’m leaning away from it being Uronema.

1 day ago this white spot appeared right at the start of his top fin. It’s hard for me to get a good look at it, but it looks like his flesh is protruding out from his scales. It’s definitely a bump and no flat to his body.

I was an absolute moron and didn’t QT this fish. I promise I will in the future - but does anyone have any idea as to what this could be? I’m currently preparing a tank to house him while I figure this out.

Any thoughts or advice would be really appreciated!

Hi! Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I looked at the pics, but nothing definitive comes to mind. It doesn't look like typical Uronema. I think more background information could help, Here is a link to some questions that may help us determine what could be going on here:
