Again I recommend seachem paraguard as in a couple days it's out of the tank and later you could add corals. If you put copper in there you could make it hard to ever keep corals. You will need to keep your skimmer off while using paraguard as the skimmer will suck it right out. And any med you put in there will likely make you keep the carbon out for a couple days.

Do I need to take out snails and shrimp?
Any of the copper based medications will kill your inverts, but Paraguard "may" be invert safe. I say may because that's what they say - https://www.seachem.com/paraguard.php Checkout the FAQ, they have a section about using with inverts. I'd be safe and pull your inverts out if you can.

Go back and look at your test results,I think you have the ammonia and nitrate tubes mixed up. There is no green colors for nitrates but there is for ammonia! The way I read it is you have 4.0 ppm ammonia and the other two 0.0. Maybe I,m reading it wrong.

No he has it right. The color looks green because of the blue behind the test vial. The api ammonia test always has that sort of cloudy look to it unlike the nitrite and nitrate which are clear.

Have been treating for 3 days with paragaurd and adding extreme garlic, my fish are doing a lot better havent seen any flashing and my tangs color is coming back I will be dosing paragaurd for 30 days and doing weekly 20% water changes. Inverts seem to be doing well with the medication. Thanks everyone for the help.
