Hi I want to get a blue throat trigger for my 120g, 5 foot mixed reef. How can I make sure it wont eat my clean up crew. (snails, crabs, hermits and Other)

Bluethroats generally wont go after crabs /snails. They are planktonvores, the inverts/cuc at the biggest risk with blue jaws are shrimp.
 
I never had trouble with blue jaws munching on CUC. Feed them well and they should be fine.
 
The bottom line all fish are individuals and you have to decide if it's worth the gamble.
 
I have had a male bluethroat in a mixed reef for over a year, no issues with the CUC.
