I want To buy a male and female there is a female in stock now but not a male. Should I add them at same time?or one before the other?

Same time, remember this hobby takes patience so unless you can get them how you want them, ie together, best to wait.

I did it in reverse order, which is probably more dangerous - got the male first, then added a female about a month later. He's small, about 3" and she's much larger - closer to 6". They get along just fine!

They both have to contend with an over-grown, over-aggressive green chromis, though. So that may have headed off any spats as they have a common nuisance.
