I recently purchased this skimmer, and I have everything set up fine. When I turned it on it immediatly overflowed with water, the collection cup. I turned it off adjusted the intake down to 1 and turned it on, the collection cup still overflowed with water.
What am I doing wrong for this to happen?

my water level in my sump is about the same as this person's(2nd part of video is BM NAC7)

I adjusted the water level from 11in to 7 in,like some people suggested, but it still overflows in about 10 seconds..

Maybe there's something inside the skimmer chamber that's making it froth like that. Did you try rinsing out the skimmer body or maybe even giving it a vinegar bath? Could just be something with breaking it in too, so you might want to try running it with the drain line running back into the sump to let the water just flow through it for a couple days.

Ok ,I left it at 7 inches of water and it is working fine on MAX atm,I hope to lower it down tho..

it still needs to break in. As the oils from the machining process come off, you will be able to change your setting.
